The screen legend, iconic actress, Elizabeth Taylor, has died at age 79. She had been in and out of hospital several times in recent years for congestive heart failure and was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital in February for monitoring, but no official cause of death has been announced.
She started acting when she was only 9 and by age 12 she was on her way to stardom for performing in National Velvet the saga of a girl and her beloved horse that became a massive hit.
Elizabeth Taylor nominated five times for Academy Awards and won the awards twice for "BUtterfield 8" in 1961 and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" in 1967. In 1993 she also won Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
